The scope of work included supply, fabrication, surface treatment, assembly and no-load commissioning of the shiploader, with fabrication and assembly undertaken in our Henderson workshop, before delivery FAS (free alongside) on heavy lift ship at the Australian Marine Complex.
We also fabricated stainless steel handrails, chutes, guard posts and frames from our Newcastle facility.
This world-class shiploader is the largest to be built in our Henderson facility. The boom alone weighed approximately 400 tonnes and was installed via dual crane.
