Downer and Seymour Whyte formed a fully integrated joint venture to deliver the Princes Highway Upgrade: Berry to Bomaderry for the client, Transport for NSW. Civmec played an integral role in the project by fabricating, delivering and splicing on site the weathered steel girder segments to build two new overpass bridges at Strongs Road and Pestells Lane. The newly constructed Pestells Lane Bridge has the current accolade of being the longest weathering steel bridge in Australia.
Civmec congratulates our Newcastle team and all those who were involved in the project.
