This national award follows Civmec’s earlier award in the QLD NT category.
The ASI’s national competition was between forty-eight state and territory winners, across six categories, with Civmec winning the ‘Engineering Projects’ category.
The judges praised the project for its innovative use of building information modelling and a fully modularised fabrication and installation methodology, which delivered significant safety, cost, and schedule benefits. Additionally, environmental considerations were integrated throughout the project design and delivery.
The national award winners were celebrated at a Gala Dinner in Sydney, marking a night of recognition and honour for the best in the steel industry. Alan Bosco (pictured second from the left) and Michael Tartaglia (far right) attended to accept the award on behalf of Civmec.
